2000

Membership: 7 Christel, Josie, Deborah (on leave) Catherine, Gail, Annie & Persia

January 2000 Public performance in Bellingen. ‘Travelling into the Year 2000’ Persia conducts. Catherine back but undecided about whether to leave the Company.

March 2000 International Women’s Night performance. ‘Changes’ Persia conducts.

March 2000 Coffs High Peer Support Camp performance at Valla Beach. Persia conducts.

March 2000 Mucopolysaccharide Association performance at Pacific Bay Resort. Persia conducts. Gail Colley’s final gig. Gail Colley leaves the Company and goes to live on the Hawkesbury River.

May 2000 Big Tour Out West to Moree Department of Housing performance on Mother’s Day for Aboriginal community. Persia conducts.

Deborah is back.

Persia prepares portfolio & Bellingen Playback Theatre gets a Website. Thanks to Annie and Ben.

July 2000 Public performance in Bellingen. ‘Passion’ Josie conducts

October 2000 Louise Gore joins the Company.

October 2000 Coffs City Council Cultural Forum performance @ Boambee Bay Resort. Persia conducts.

March 2001 Coffs High School Peer Support Camp performance at Valla Beach. Louise’s first performance. Persia conducts.

March 2001 International Women’s Day performance. Memorial Hall ‘Courage’. Persia conducts.

April 2001 Kempsey Mental Health Services Forum performance at Kempsey. Persia conducts.

June 2001 Public performance in Bellingen for the Solstice. ‘Chocolate and other Pleasures’ Persia conducts.

July 2001 ADD: AD/HD Camp performance at Port Macquarie. Persia conducts. Annie’s last performance.

Annie and Louise leave the Company. Christel is back.

A break is taken from rehearsals until the 2nd September when a ‘burning of the old’ and ‘planning and ushering in of the new’ takes place at Josie’s. An archive is created.

To treat and celebrate ourselves the 4 of us spend a luxury night @ the Aanuka Resort in Coffs Harbour and combine it with our AGM. Minutes were taken and big plans were made but little was remembered except Persia and Deborah’s dance performance.

Membership: 4 Josie, Deborah, Christel & Persia We decide to invite ‘guest performers’ to join us throughout the year as a way to ‘slowly’ increase membership. We commit to regular rehearsals in the Uniting Church Centre.
